 well... first off, i lived in brighton for 18 and a half years... then i had to go to college.
brighton was sweet but now i live in mt pleasant and sometimes its sweet... i do like living away from home a little just because its nice to know i can handle it. its a little hard for me to write/record songs when i am here because its not quiet but i do my best to keep playing.
i started writing my own music summer of 05 i think i finished my first song in the beginning of june its called dude be my friend i wrote it cuz i was real bored and i wanted friends... then there was a weekend at the beginning of july where i wrote 3 songs and recorded them... it was an amazing weekend cuz right before then i tried pretty hard to come up with some songs, but i just couldnt do it.
then out of nowhere i record the song "a pretty red" and then lyrics just started coming out... they dont mean a whole lot but i can make sense of them now which is neat... then i wrote "the way we live" the next night and that is kind of just an inside joke with me and some friends from metal arts class. then the next night after that i wrote the song "two times" which isnt based on anything at all it was just somethin i wrote cuz i was on a roll and i didnt wanna stop.
a long time went by... then one night i couldnt sleep so it was 5 in the morning some day in august and i wrote the song "the new one" then recorded it the next day... also on that day i met the girl who is now my girlfriend so thats cool...
2 of my most recent songs have been about/for my girlfriend kelly... "no matter what..." and "happy birthday kelly" thats when my songs actually started meaning something to me, sure it might be a little harder for me to make a song that means something to me... but in the long run i know the songs will make me happy when i am older if i ever look back at them.
my newest song "O M G why me!!!" is a song i wrote after getting EXTREMELY frustrated with recording "happy birthday kelly" there were some computer failures where everything i recorded and edited went down the drain soo... some of the beginning in that song is me feeling bad for myself cuz computers can be mean, then the song slowly drifts away into other random thoughts that sounded right.
